Aus dem Neo-Anarchists Guide to North America:"Since 2027, only Manhattan legally has been New York City. In Manhattan Inc. v. The State of New York, the city forced the boroughs of Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and the Bronx, all formerly part of NYC, to separate from it. In effect, the suit let Manhattan secede from the rest of NYC, keeping the name and all the prestige. Sort of like my ex-wife. Realizing that they would be unable to stand alone, the boroughs tried to stick together at first. Typical of their attempt was their inability to agree on a better name than "Quad Counties."
